Campus Resources

The Foreign Language Resource Center (FLRC) provides a number of services to students and faculty. It will again be a physical space after the Mason Hall Renovation which will be completed in January 2008. All course materials are now linked through the Sakai course management system.

Additional opportunities for language and cultural study are available through Pomona’s Oldenborg Center, a unique residence hall where students are immersed in German, among other languages. All students of German have the opportunity to attend the German language table for lunch at the Oldenborg dining hall 5 days/week, M-F. Oldenborg also brings many German-related speakers to campus.

The German Program and the Russian Program constitute the Department of German and Russian at Pomona College. The Scripps College German Program and the German Program at Pomona College are a combined program.

The Department of German and Russian also has its own library. Here is its online catalog. The books cannot be checked out – but they can be read in this great renovated facility!

Please also visit the European Union Center of California (Scripps College) and the Libraries at the Claremont Colleges web sites.
